On Saturday October 28, Driscoll Health Plan partnered with Brownsville Police Department to host the Halloween Spook-Tacular Safety Bash at the Driscoll Specialty Clinic in Brownsville, Texas. The event was attended by over 500 people from the area and enjoyed various Halloween activities. Some of the activities included costume and pumpkin decorating contests, pony rides, games, various photo booth corners, a sensory space & more! Guests were provided with food boxes that contained fresh produce, recipes, and nutritional content to familiarize the recipients on item benefits. The boxes were donated by Little Bear Produce, a local organization whose mission is to improve the health and wellness of customers and their communities by delivering flavorful and nutritious produce. Additionally, there were twelve community partners in attendance who provided local resources, which included Driscoll Children’s Hospital RGV. On-site were Navigators to help with Application Assistance. The purpose of the event was to provide a fun and safe environment for families to enjoy fall/Halloween activities while learning about helpful resources in the Brownsville area. We thank everyone who attended and our community partners who made the event a success!
