On Saturday, April 15, Driscoll Health Plan partnered with the Texas State Aquarium to host our annual Mermaid Ball, a dance for high school students with special needs. The event took place at the Texas State Aquarium with a tour of the Caribbean Journey exhibit, animal interactions and a “prom-like” dance party. Once the music began, tables were empty, and no time was wasted getting to the dance floor! Students were treated like royalty with crowns, corsages and shoe shining. This event is part of the Texas State Aquarium’s Diversity & Inclusions Initiative.
