Updates to Authorization Letters and Approvals
Driscoll Health Plan joined community partners in kicking off the Healthy Texan Week Good Food, Good Move Community Event in Pharr, Texas.
The event was made possible with help from community partners, including the City of Pharr and Special Olympics South Texas. Together, they created a welcoming place where families could learn about healthy food, movement, and wellness.
The event brought families together to learn simple ways to live healthier lives. Driscoll Health Plan provided 150 families with food bags, help with Medicaid applications, nutrition information, and simple wellness tips. A total of 213 people attended the event, but its impact reached far beyond that number.
Parents took home simple health tips they could use with their families. Children also took part in hands-on activities and movement demonstrations. These activities showed that being healthy can be fun.
The event also brought a special honor for Driscoll Health Plan. Special Olympics South Texas presented the Health Plan with a Sponsor Appreciation Award for its commitment and continued support of the community.
By giving families useful tools and a place to learn and connect, Driscoll Health Plan is helping build healthier families and stronger communities across the Rio Grande Valley.
